Start Date: June 2025 | Duration: 5–6 months | Type: Full-time, Paid Internship

Main Responsibilities:

• Perform research and development of novel seaweed based materials to meet current and future customer and business needs regarding barrier and mechanical properties.

• Systematically investigate the effect of process and formulation parameters and optimize material properties to meet application-specific requirements.

• Produce prototypes at lab scale and be involved in material processing, in collaboration with our processing partner.

• Document and report your findings internally.

• Help create a database compiling the characteristics (properties, processing parameters…) of our reference formulations.

Candidate’s profile:

• Students with a Master in chemical engineering, materials science, material engineering, mechanical engineering, packaging engineering or polymer sciences.

• Motivated, dynamic and responsible.

• Fluent in English

• Please note that this position is only open to EU citizens or individuals with a valid work permit for the European Union.
